The restaurant

In May of 2022 the doors of the Woodyard first opened! "It's been a complete labour of love", Tom mentions "we wanted a casual place where people could sit and relax, enjoy the view of the river deben and eat some great quality pizza. We up-cycled material to give it an industrial type feel. From the scaffold board tables, wall decor and bar, there wasn't much we didn't build ourselves

"We started off doing woodfired pizza from our 'Frog

and the Dog' horse trailer" Charles says. "It was a great bit of fun, and really inspired us to branch out with a bricks and mortar pizzeria. I was walking along the woodbridge riverside during lock down one day and noticed this empty unit. It just felt right.


"We've been really humbled by the feedback we've received since opening" Tristan adds, "our weekly specials are a big hit with our guests and it's so good to see our guests returning again and again. People and great food are at the centre of what we do. Its this foundation that we we strive to uphold and build on and look forward to serving many more pizzas (and cocktails!) in the future
